Chassis parts painting
As some will know the last part of my restore is the suspension.
I am going to start on the parts this month or next ( depends on my Supra 😁. I was going to use POR15 as the paint on all the metal but what have others used. Hammerite is no good for long lasting preservation but didn't know if anyone else uses a different product I am unaware of. Thanks in advance. It's been a while since I have posted and also noted my membership has lapsed so need to pay up

I have used POR15 and Hammerite, and for sure tye POR15 is a stronger product. Under the car for its MOT last month, and it still looks as good as when applied over 3 years ago now, whereas the Hammerite on my other car is flaking off all over the place. You just reminded me to renew my subs also. Worth every penny in my opinion. |

Maybe worth having a look at what these have to offer:
https://www.bilthamber.com/ Very well respected company in detailing circles - I have no doubt they'll have some very good products. And one mentioned in another thread: http://aquasteel.co.uk/ Good Luck. Andy. Last edited by AndyN01; 3rd January 2019 at 13:44.. |
