I have been using a T45 with no issues, got a set of 6 from T40 upwards from Machine Mart for about £5.

If it's stiff give it a smack with a drift then try again.

You sure it's not a T50.

On my car it is a T50 and have recently just refurbished one, and I used a T50 to remove the brakes

Okay, then I was lying unintentionally. I've got both T45 and T50, one for the front seats and the other for brake discs.

Best thing is as you suggest buy a set from T40 upwards then you have got them for the seats and brakes and other items that need the torx drive bits

I got a set from T25 upwards from Halfords
