Thanks everyone, got one from a scrapyard this morning £4, fitted it doesn't work. So took it back and went to another scrap yard took one off a car for £5 and works great. The original motor was making a normal noise but would no longer pump water as had been on running dry for about 30mins

For anyone interested the washer pump part number is PA6 GB GF 30. same one used on some BMW, VW, Mercedes.
