I understand that, but "political" is a matter of opinion. Once a thread becomes a debate, yes, that's politics.

If a comment is made about someone's job changing, that actually will have an effect on all of us, it is, just a comment.

Does that mean all politics or just British. I was going to suggest if they are fed up of Brexit ,to watch CNN News or RT News. I find these channels very informative.

Interestingly, there are some people whose every other post is politically motivated. Yet these are allowed to remain and the people to continue.

IMO the forum management let the Genie out of the bottle by allowing an extremely political thread leading up to Brexit and it will continue to prove extremely difficult to put it back in the bottle unless the relevant rule is strictly enforced, which it is not.

Perhaps it is time to strictly enforce the rules relating to politics, sex etc. being discussed on the forum or to alter the rules?

The alterntive of throwing out into the cold those who keep going into the fridge is a perfectly viable option.

The forum management just need to decide one way or the other and then strictly enforce.

I still think we should have an area where we can discuss anything, password for entry, passwords only given with age verification, it would save the mods so much time trying to moderate the rest of the forum.

If there really a rule forum rule about sex? I thought it was just my household that had a rule banning it

Perhaps if the thread always remained polite and respectful we would not see them closed. We only have ourselves to blame if a thread is closed because people are not respectful to others.

To be honest - a car Forum is probably not a significant place to right the wrongs of the world - let alone the best options for our leaving the EU.

That said - the one point I would say is that those that constantly whine and whinge about things not going their way - are the same people that constantly call for a thread to be closed because in their myopic view it has become “political” - which those of us with an ounce of common sense and knowledge of the real world see as a Sensible Discussion - and they see as heresy.
