Take care of yourself.

Good morning Julien and Dawn, Bob and Andy, Jeff, readers/guests

I spoke with Jessica about your post Julien and we can make a plan to meet up when we are over.

So, yesterday I saw the eye specialist and I asked him to check the red eye. We went through the procedure of the eye care the hospital nurses had told me to do, which turns out one part of it was completely wrong. There is no need for me to use a syringe to wash my bad eye out with filtered water, as the eye itself has an in-built natural washing system.

He showed Jessica how to correctly apply the ointment onto the eyeball. He was annoyed that the nurses in the hospital had taught me to use bad practices in eye care even though he has taught them the right way, they ended up doing it the wrong way - their way. He didn’t charge me for the appointment yesterday, which was a lovely surprise.

Morning all/the few - eh bah gum it's turned colder up 'ere in't North East - it's more like January than early May - cold, grey and drizzling on.
Hopefully, as I'll be on my jollies in Norfolk in 4 weeks' time, Jeff and Andy have ordered up some hot, dry and sunny weather for me for the first couple of weeks in June

Good morning Phil - glad to hear that things are slowly improving - you're well overdue a long, sustained period of good health. You're better off on the continent where you are at the moment, it's decidedly cold for the time of year here and I'm sure it'll be a pretty miserable morning up on the moors at The Lion Inn.
My planned excitement for the day is ................ food shopping
Take care and give our best wishes to Jessica.

Morning everyone, It's a miserable rainy day here & cold with it, I've got me big cardy on again.

I've had a lie in today! I took my missus for an hospital appointment over in Wrightington yesterday for a brain scan she has to have an hearing aid & the doctor said he wanted her to have a brain scan.

Driving back I stopped to get some petrol as I got out of the car I twisted my back & could feel sciatica in my left leg It was killing me by the time we got home so I ended up going to bed with a handful of painkillers and only just hobbled out of my bed.

Anyone else noticed how much petrol has gone up lately! according to the Beeb it's the second biggest price rise in 20 years

Good evening Rod, I am feeling as though things are on the up. My vision has improved in both eyes and the bad eye is not so red or sore. I don’t take any pain killers during the day, only at night. This afternoon I have been out taking photos of the forest and the flowers. Can’t complain, compared to the cooler weather you are having to endure.

A happy memory from The Lion and from Nurse Jenny
