Good Morning All,

I just wondered if anyone on the forum has purchased the above mentioned diagnostic tool and if so what are thier opinions on it?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Tom.

I believe Kennyeth has one, you could ask him perhaps

As far as I am aware it will access all areas of the car and allow you to read fault codes and live data.

It won't however be able to introduce new electronic components to the car, nor change dealer coding options in the way T4 can.

That being said it should provide valuable fault finding assistance to those without ready access to T4

I bought it a couple of months ago. It's a very useful tool for MGR cars, not just 75/ZTs. For our cars it can read the engine ECU (for all engines except V8), the ABS one, the Airbag one, and the Jatco one if you have automatic transmission, for each of those it can read and erase fault codes as well as providing live sensor values.
As Brian mention, far from being as complete as a T4 but useful to diagnose most faults. Totally safe too as it's read-only, no messing around with ZCS coding and the likes...

On the 75/ZT the tool can currently access the following ECUs:-

MEMS3 for the 1.8 cars
EMS2000 for the V6 cars
EDC15C4 / DDE4 for the diesel cars
Jatco automatic transmission
ABS5.7 abs controller
Temic airbag controller for cars upto 2004.
Autoliv airbag controller for 2004 on cars

For each ECU if you click on the link you can see screenshots showing what the tool can do.

As someone above said, the tool does not have any features that can do any harm to your 75/ZT. If you want something reprogrammed or enhanced you will still need to find a T4 owner.

It doesn't quite cover the entire car but we are still in development and entire coverage is our intention.

What do you have in "extra functions" on the ABS5.7 ? I am thinking about the operating of the pump for bleeding purposes.

Also does this device definitelt work with pre-obd II diesels like my 2001CDT?

Also are you planning anything to make it work from a tablet such as Ipad?

Currently it will only read codes, reset codes and read the wheel speed sensors. Now that we have a T4 we can probably offer the "operating of the pump" feature in the future but this will take some time.

Yes it does. In fact all of the ECUs are supported using dealer level protocols rather than just EOBD. Even on the EOBD compliant cars (petrol or diesel) our tool will give greater functionality than an EOBD tool. The only exception to this is the V8 ECU which we haven't done yet.

It already works on Windows tablets such as my Linx 10, though not on Windows RT. I am willing to look at Android as it is supported in the programming language which I use, and there are some Android tablets in the house to test with. I am afraid that the Ipad/Iphone are unlikely to be supported. In order to write IOS code I would have to buy the following
An OSX laptop
An Apple developer license
An ipad and iphone to test on

This would be an expensive outlay and I would have to totally recode pscan.eu again from the beginning, so it isn't likely to happen.

pscan.eu works well on ancient laptops running XP or Lubuntu which you can pick up for £30 on ebay. If you want a solid state machine I have used it on an EEEPC 701 running Debian / XFCE for example.

Will your equipment work on a early MGF 1997 1.8 VVC ???

It does have a plug under the dash.

The Delphi DS 150E clones have the option to bleed the ABS circuits. Have one here and have not tried it (yet). All other functions (like testing fan speeds) and diagnostics of circuits (including the instrument cluster) work. Also works over bluetooth.

And it covers multiple cars not just MG / Rover.
