Knocking and Scraping Noise - Help
Rover 75 CDT Tourer 116 2004
A few days ago after having new discs and break pads fitted I felt and heard a noise as I accelerated up hill. I thought it was a noise from driving over a manhole cover. The next day I felt it again as I turned right and then heard a scraping sound. I thought it was the exhaust heat shield scrapping on the road, but all appears in tact. I don't want to drive it again until I have diagnosed the problem. Grateful for any suggestions. I noticed a similar issue on a forum thread in 2011 but could not see the outcome. |

Check your springs then, if one or more snaps they can make a grinding, scraping noise
