Default how to change spark plugs

hi all,
have just signed up to the site + it's been really helpfull with lots of things , ok this might sound thick but how do you change the spark plugs on a r75 1.8i as i cannot see them only black plastic casing i have been told the spark plugs need changing every 60,000 seems alot anyway have just bought the car + was going to change them plus air filter + pollen filter plus oil change just for piece of mind.

Welcome to the forum and the club

Black plastic spark plug cover is held in place by 3 bolts. Remove this item.
Remove the ignition coils, then disconnect the conventional HT leads.

Buy yourself a copy of the Haynes manual for Christmas.

As you mention "the question might sound obvious"
I'll give the obvious answer as it may help.

There are 4 plugs all under the black plastic cover,
There are only two leads as the other two plugs have coils on them.

Lastly, you need one of the long spark plug spanners to reach down to change the plugs.

ALSO - wasn't that sillier question as I was also baffled by this the first time I looked at it !!
