not 75 but T4 question
Hi T4 guru's.
Not specifically Rover 75 but does a T4 show road speed as live data? I have a customer who has a TF auto that has been playing up. Faults all over the place but I have fixed all but one ! Done fast adaptions on the g/box so that is now working as it should but got a speedo not working. As he is in some far flung corner of the world he does not want to order a instrument pack if it is just the sensor so the way I see it is if T4 see's road speed live data the sensor is ok. If not......change the sensor. Cheers

It certainly does with the 75 through ABS. I can't remember If the TF Auto speedo is through the ABS though sorry

Can't remember myself, Mark don't see many TF's
T4 should see the speed input for the instrument pack but from which menu I couldn't say. Brian might know. Russ

Hi Stu, the road speed transducer is located in the gearbox C0195, white with an orange tracer, however it should show on live data in MEMS overview the road speed.

So it runs through a seperate transducer, pre ABS days? Being a TF I wasn't sure as the later 25 / 45's stopped using them. The transducer would have Three wires - Supply, earth and output to the dash. Supply and earth are easily checked and a very crude and a little bit vague way of testing the output is to look for a 'pulsed' voltage at the speedo when moving.
Or have I read it wrong? No rave disc to check C0195
