I think the structural angles of it are different for LHD cars. Im sure BigRuss knows more about this as he has a pair.

It seems logitical that they should fit, when you look at the powerfold mirrors they are identical dimentionally, have the same functionallity with the only difference between the left hand one and the right hand one is one is a mirror image of the other. I looked at my ones today that I am going to fit and I cannot see any difference between the two sides.
Edit: It maybe that the amount of mirror movement is different between the driver's side and the passenger's side, therefore it might mean changing the mirror adjustment innards over as well (if it can be done). I would measure the amount of mirror movement between your driver's and passenger's mirrors to see if there is any difference. Last edited by rover54; 18th May 2012 at 01:38.. |

Unless you happen to be in Australia where ADR ( Australian Design Rules )states drivers mirror glass must be flat. ( They are normally convex )

This was a how to from a while back and although the pictures have disappeared the text may still help you as it addresses the exact problem you raise and the solution is to change over the stanchion from your non powerfold mirror onto the powerfold
The RHD will of course fit straight on but as said you won't get the best view from it as the angle is different and you need to put it on maximum adjustment which means the mirror glass will stick out from the housing a bit and it is still not quite adequate http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...owerfold+cheap

The stanchions for LHD are different angles to those on RHD, if you put the wrong type on your car you won't be able to see properly in the mirrors even if adjusted to their full extent.
As Rob says above just swap the stanchions over from your original mirrors. Russ
