Leave the lock mechanism in the door, all can be done with the lock in situ. Lubricate the small arm/lever that leads up to the door pin as it enters into the lock mechanism, direct WD40/grease into each moving part in and around the housing through gaps that you see.

I first used WD40 and then a syringe with a long straw which you will need to bend slightly so in enters into the casing, I found a torch placed in the door helped me see the mechanism better.

Its quite common to experience a seized lock on N/S rear door, I hope that is the case for you, good luck.

Got the same problem with my front nearside locking pin. Will try this cure thanks.

What does the letters say within the four dots on you lock in your photo? here.

NS Rear lock should say this below.

And does it have the child lock present at top right corner of the lock.

It does not really matter now as the OP as been sorted out, but the one the Wullie photo is a front door lock.

This may help other in the future i will add full size photo to my thread on locks.

I have a full set of these I took a pic of what I thought was the correct one so it’s obviously one of the others doesn’t matter now as the Op has got one from someone else.
