Had a punt on the Supercharged ZT but lost out by Ł150 .. Not so sure it wasn't a blessing in disguise in the cold hard light of day but there is still an itch to be scratched

I watched both days, and thought very few bargains to be had - the V8 Rover 75 was one of them. At least it was nice to see some classics again.

I want Lot 92 - sure it won't go for as little as the guide, but you never know. I leant to drive in an Austin A99 Westminster - manual with overdrive on all three gears. You could change gear without the clutch if you got the revs right. Shame about the colour on this one, ours was Alaskan Blue, and it was followed by a Wolseley 6/110 in Trafalgar Blue. Cars with character!

Lot 13 brings back memories, nearly purchased one of those Aston Martin lookalike kits when I want to build a kitcar, but ended up deciding on a Ginetta G31.

I had two of those over a period of 12 years.

One the A99, the other the 6/110 two tone blue.

You didn't need to get the revs right as the free wheel unit totally disconnected the engine from the gear box.
