Default Silver cars

My brother in law is looking for a 75 cdti pref auto and under £1000. A Zt would suffice. I have been gleaning the usual places but every car that has promise turns out to be silver. He has had two silver 75's and doesn't want another one. Why are there so many silver ones?

It seems every diesel one I see is silver, did Rover have a special buy on a job lot of silver paint back in the day.

They are not all silver. Only about 50% of them are.

It was once the most fashionable colour, before black took the crown.

I think it's like the council paint the inside of houses Magnolia so Rover used silver

What do you mean a ZT will "suffice" if you ask me he doesn`t deserve to have a ZT.

Cool

I've got a Silver V8 ZTT. Quite like the colour, looks stunning when sparkling clean.
