Ah ! i'm working on that also i had a look about on cabinet and boiler parts but could see no significant number so have had a look for instruction manual but not been able to tease it out from its hiding place of the last 15 yrs yet Will probably be in shed with the before mentioned bits .

Bars leak available from halfords or other accessory shops. My boiler is 30 years old. Bars leak has worked every time. You need to drain a bit from the system, pour it in and top up. CH systems are just like car cooling systems. Water pipes, radiator and a pump. DONT use block sealer as it will weld everything up!

i would strongly advise against anyone putting leak sealer in a boiler especially a combi which contains lots of small water ways and hydrolics and that includes fernox leak sealer you could easily block the main heat exchanger

HOWEVER I read that you have bought a non standard part with one pipe/connection less. I think you might have to do a bit of inventive plumbing yourself. Bon chance, mon ami. Colvert. |

Prompted by another newer combi boiler thread i thought i should return to this old one of mine , just to say that my boiler has been as good as gold . And after a plumber friend fitted the replacement parts no more leak!
Quite an easy job if you have correct tools and the space to get in ! Thanks to all who helped but especially Mark d3
