Default Bonnet on a roof rack...

Anyone know if it's possible to safely tie a bonnet on to the roof bars on a saloon? And also possible to fit front wings and a boot lid inside?

Thanks.

Boot lid and front wings should fit inside. Not sure about the bonnet.

I can see no reason why not, although I would suggest having the bonnet as far back on the rack as possible to prevent lift off lol. (obviously secured with this in mind too)

Thanks, would be similar mileage for me, how did you strap it down securely without damaging it/the paint?

That would make sense, but I'm the sort of person who would like to keep all the original parts from my car, especially as mine is only actually stone chipped.

I took a few old bed sheets and doubled them all up and tied down with ratchets straps.
I put the two bonnet springs (that are at the front) infront of a crossbar which stopped it going backwards. the straps held it down.

If you havent got cross bars.......just criss cross the straps/ropes round the corners.
