Over 70s with pre-existing conditions Twice I have needed unplanned urgent care in Africa. A week in ICU in ZA. A night in hospital in Nairobi. On both occasions the insurance co paid direct. The insurance covered air ambulance repatriation medivac back to the uk. Worth checking if your insurance covers this. |

It depends greatly on where you're going; a relative of mine recently paid around a thousand for insurance for a 4 week Caribbean cruise, admittedly with multiple serious health issues, I'd imagine it'd be a lot less within Europe.
Comparison websites like comparethemarket.com are a good starting point, then contact the insurer directly to try and get a better price. |

Good morning Julien, I paid £112 multi-trip last September for an annual travel policy for worldwide cover, not including USA. The cover included my pre-existing conditions, flight cancellations etc, I tagged it onto the private health plan I use for my visits to the UK and Africa. £112 was a discounted price.
