Default Interesting Japanese spec Rover 75 car in NZ

Hi all,
Came across this for sale on Trade Me, here in New Zealand.
Interesting Japanese spec Rover 75 saloon.
Vin ending in 3D292732 (which I understand to be a 2003 model).
Sat Nav unit with MG Rover surround I have not seen before.
Walnut and leather steering wheel.
Leather/walnut gear knob.
Projector headlights.
Chrome backed mirrors.
Front floor mats of a type I have not seen before.
'Poverty spec' message centre.
Traction control.
This car was first registered in Japan in August 2004, and imported to NZ in July 2011, but not registered here till August 2013. Must have taken a while to sell!
It has had one NZ owner since import here.
Is either Midnight or Royal Blue, and currently has 141,000 kms travelled. Seller has stated that the 'main' cam belt has been replaced recently. Hmmm, what about the tensioners and other 2 cam belts??
Posted this mainly due to the Satnav surround and style plus mats.
Has anyone else seen a layout like that?
Graeme

The satnav surround looks very after-market to me. I can't see the
'MG Rover' branding would be so in-your-face on a genuine part. But it's only a guess.

I did wonder that myself too. A person good with decals perhaps?
Have you seen floor mats in that style before as well?

In one of the MG ZTT brochures it showed some pictures of a sat nav system but not actually fitted to a car. Think it was in a face lift brochure.

I reckon after market mats, gear knob and after market Double Din surround.

The font and sticker the weakest link...

Given sourcing bits in NZ difficult, far worse in many UK cars!,

We don't know how lucky we are, I have a friend who lives in N/Z and tells me he can wait weeks for parts for his Range Rover. He needed a wheel bearing amongst other parts recently and had to wait nearly 3 weeks. luckily he has a second car.

anybody in NZ waiting weeks for range Rover parts obviously is looking in the wrong place! Same for P4, P6 and Rover 75.
