Morning all - is that it, has Summer finished?
Bit grey and dull here, although still quite mild.
Kids back to school this morning, lots of parents going back to work too, so the neighbourhood should be a fair bit quieter now - except for the thoughtless people who leave dogs on their own in the house all day
Good weekend for sport - England beating India in the 4th Test and taking the series, Lewis winning in Italy - and Middlesbrough are still joint top of the Championship

Morning folks, its peeing down here. More or less given up on the laptop, boots up but very little works then all the icons disappear! Tried repair software etc, won't allow me to attempt to reload Windows, can't open the program to run the disc. Waiting for a new (refurbished) hard drive to arrive. I dropped it a few days ago, only from about 6" when I was moving it from my lap to the side of the chair but must have done something to the hard drive.

Diabetic review tomorrow. Probably get a row for not checking my sugar often enough but I don't see the point, it never varies now, may as well paint the numbers on the meter!

That would be great Freddie, I’ll at last get to see her in the flesh

I’m at the boat now and will be heading out to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft for work shortly.
Should be finished by 16.00 at the latest and back on board just after that .

I’ll pop into M&S and get some Milk and biscuits in

That is the only reason we won't get another dog.
Its 18 years since we last had one, and the kids, although now 20 and 15,keep begging to get one,I refuse to get a dog ,and leave it in the house all day. people say not me, I could get one and take it to work ,it could sit in the van, but what about if we get another summer like we have just had? too hot, or a winter like last, too cold. TBH, although I'm back and forward to van several times a day, what's the difference for a dog? being on its own in the house, or in the van. Plus , we wouldn't be able to agree on what to get, the wife won't get a rescue dog, as she says you don't know its background, she wants to get a puppy. I have no desire to line the pockets of a breeder, and would rather give an abandoned dog a loving home, as would the kids. Puppies are still lovely though.
