Default Poor FM Reception

I've got a bog standard harmony unit. It would appear that the FM reception is probably the worst of any car I've had. I'm assuming that the antenna is part of the rear screen and that there is probably some form of amplifier before it goes into the head units.

Any suggestions as to where to start ?

The antennae amplifier is located behind the C Pillar interior trim on the (rear) passenger side. Get your fingers behind the trim and it will come off with a good tug or two. You'll see the amp box there. Make sure all the cables are secure, that it is earthed fully and that none of the wires are twisted or too close to other cable runs (like the HRW one!).

Good luck

Mike

I think the FM reception is Pretty poor on our cars anyway, one of the few weak spots.
Really needs a Decent replacement Antenna and a decent amp IMHO.
