You will need the Radio code of your new unit, Only the Hi Line does not require one.
It should be supplied on a Card with radio, in original Documents even written on unit sometimes or available from XPart for a charge. Supplier of unit should have it as its pointless selling without! Im not sure if you had it permantently disabled if that is just fitted radio or any replacements to........... |

The requirement for the code for both the Harmony and Symphony can be enabled or disabled, but in each case you have to use the code to enable or disable it.

There is a test procedure to check the head unit to see if the code is enabled. I don't have the code for mine and it hasn't been enabled so I don't have any problems when it's removed or the battery is disconnected.

Can't see any mention of the radio code option in the symphony listing.

You can't test for the code, only enable or disable it, but you need the code to start with.
Press and hold the tuning 'up' button and switch on using the rotary on/off button, if it is disabled 'Code Enabled' will then show, if it is enabled it will ask for the code, after the correct code input, it will be disabled. (Same for the Symphony, except the messages are 'Code On' and 'Code Off') Last edited by raykay; 14th June 2007 at 11:52.. |
