Question finger tip controls

The finger tip controls on my steering wheel are playing up.

The volume button works but the mode and tuner/skip track button do not, I have taken the steering wheel to bits but no visible loose connections, and have also removed the head unit. Any ideas?

The car is fitted with an after market Kenwood KDC-M7024. I would like to fit the high line system but don't know where to start looking. Plus i think that i would have to replace the CD changer if i did this.
