The front bank is straightforward (as long as your plug spanner isn't so long that it snags on the slam panel). The rear bank is described in technical terms as "a right pig". There's at least one "how to" on the site which explains how to get access to them by removing a panel in the front bulkhead. I changed mine when I had the upper inlet manifold chamber off to replace the thermostat housing.

If they are not causing a problem, let sleeping dogs lie!

Shouldn't take more than an hour all in. And that includes taking the inlet manifold off. It is much easier to take the manifold off and struggle. If you've never changed them then its worth swapping them! Put some good plugs in like NGK Iridium then you won't have to worry for a while.
Definitely worth swapping them out for some good plugs, then you won't have to worry for a while. You never know they could still be factory originals in the back! Can you guess which plugs were on the back bank of my car? |
