Could anyone tell me if part number YAC 112 391 would work from a 01 75 diesel going into a 75 diesel 04 facelift

It will if it's a new one, if not it will require the EEprom to be reprogrammed as the car VIN, mileage, ZCS coding etc are contained there, and if the mileage has exceeded 200Km will be locked to the car.
Also the backlight on the facelift is white, do you have a link to the message centre IPK then?

Far too expensive , remember to factor in the cost of postage and reprogramming.
I personally find it hard to reconcile paying more than £30 for a secondhand unit, as the likelihood is high that you will have a display with lines in it such as this one I received last week

and even better check the mileage

Now I have plenty of experience of opening the IPK, however sometimes it's better to wait for a new unit, or at least a sensibly priced second hand unit.
