![]() This is an intermittent problem thats more annoying than anything. I have a 51 plate conn se tourer occasionally after I have unlocked the car with the fob all the doors open but the boot remains locked, as there is no key lock in the boot on this model I have to turn on the ignition and press the boot release switch to open it, this always opens the boot. Any ideas!

![]() It's a safety feature, which prevents the boot from an accidental opening during driving. If you turn off the ignition while the car is still moving (even slightly), the control unit doesn't know that the car has stopped. So you cannot open the boot until the ignition is switched on again.

I thought that feature was only fitted to European market models, not UK due to experience of European driving habits ![]() lol........................

![]() Thanks Juergen, I have been testing your solution all day and have not had any more problems. When I pull onto my drive I do tend to switch the ignition off before stopping. Looks like problem solved
