MG ZT Centre alloy badges
Been a busy lad and replaced the dark and tatty alloy wheel centre badges.
Bought these from ebay and coated them with lacquer before fitting. To remove the old badges I drilled a hole through the badge and cap. Then used a small screwdriver to prise the badges off via the hole drilled. Cleaned the surface and applied the new badges. Doesnt look bad at all and cost only £10 and gives the alloys a lift in appearance. |

I only changed the badge not the centre cap so the original stickers are glued on very well. I punched a hole in the badge with a sharp screw driver and the caps came off without taking all the wheels off then just drilled the hole in the punch hole and prised the old decal off as you will scratch the edges of the paint trying to get the old ones off from the sides.

I'm not entirely sure what Coab actually did from his posts, but my ZT wheel centre decals are very tatty/discoloured. Tried using heatgun but only got the plastic outer edge off, it curled up then just broke off in small pieces, so plastic over the MG letters intact, tried 240 grade paper to no avail, best way to remove or just stick new decals on top!?
