Day out at Stowe House - what a fine place with a fascinating history.
Filled up on the way - first time for a couple of months, I've spent less than half of what I had by this time last year.

Cheers, good shout that. I’m lucky that’s the garage is quite warm with our boiler being in there too but will still take it in and get it warmer in the house before fitting to be safe.

Freezing cool air replaced drop links. Just as I done 5 months past. Have they stopped producing good quality. Steptoe's gloves helped a little.

So between today and Yesterday I replaced the complete dashboard on my MG ZT......
Went from Matt Grey ( I do not know the correct name for the Colour) [IMG][/IMG] to Black Oak....Big Thank you to richyl for been a gentle man and letting go of the complete set. [IMG][/IMG] Just have to get a Button for the second hole on the Control Panel. Was thinking of maybe installing a rear sunblind in the old Girl.

Sprayed ACF50 into door locks and catches before the winter gets a hold. Great stuff for keeping corrosion at bay. If it works on aircraft carriers and all that! Just keep it well clear of brake friction surfaces!
Also sprayed the door rubbers with silicone spray to stop them freezing to the door surrounds! Don't forget to use the key for manual locking and unlocking just in case your fob battery dies (and change the fob battery for belt and braces).

Another pre-MOT job - replacing both front brake pipes. Finished the nearside and just waiting for the rain to stop before fitting the offside.

Thanks Steve - I bought a Sykes Pickavant Flaremaster a few years ago on Brian's recommendation and I'm more than happy with it. I colour coded the dies to make it a bit easier to use.
I didn't realise it came with pipe bending pliers, and I ordered a Record pipe bender at the same time. Easy enough to get good results with this kit, just time consuming on the pipes with multiple bends. Last edited by Mike Noc; 27th October 2020 at 11:42.. |

Drove to the garage today and got an MOT. Had to do a fair bit of work this time round but it was getting on for 18 months since the last one.
No advisories so more than happy. |
