I love my macro prime as well.......Great for photos such as yours here and makes a terrific portrait lens as well

Thanks Phil. Using flash is so important to freeze the action and eliminate hand movement but it can look harsh in some instances. It would be good to use a large diffuser for insect pics but I need to be small and fast because they tend not to sit and pose for too long. This is what I use since I changed cameras.

I was out on the tractor today and spotted these guys. I saw one cub also. I went back to get my camera and luckily they were still there but the cub had gone. Most animals take no notice of me sitting on a tractor with a noisy diesel engine running but get off or speak and they shoot off.

Lovely sunset tonight. The pic is nothing special but it was such a great sunset with a sun pillar I just had to record it. It was better a few minutes earlier but I had to go get the camera.
