Default Horrendous clanking under bonnet

Currently in East London 250 miles from home in West Wales, car (02 Connie CDT auto SE) started normally but then I thought a pneumatic drill had started up nearby. This clunking/clattering disappears as the engine is revved but reappears at tickover. Opened bonnet and noise seems to be coming from low down on front left. Drove the car round the block and it is driving normally apart from the noise at tickover.
I am wondering if it is crankshaft pulley bearing?
Anyone know of trustworthy garage capable of fitting a replacement in E2 area?
Thanks.
