They do drain all the oil.
Crud is dealt with by an efficient filter However, like you, I was sceptical. So I opend the drain plug after I syphoned it out. Nothing came out apart from drip, drip, drip. The heat will not damage the container, its mega robust |

Except that left in the oil cooler. But then normal draining doesn't get that out either. Standard oil changes always retain half a litre or so of the old oil. Hardly seems worth waiting for those last few drops when there's so much in there you can't get out anyway. Frustrating innit!

Did someone mention Axle Stands
I also have a new way to drain the gearbox oil, take it out and shake it |
