Question Cdti

Hi,
Has anyone come across at CDTI rattling above 2500rpm. It pulls fine, doesn't rattle with no load on,it runs on an X-part air filter and Castrol GTD magnatec. Apart from that it is standard. Any hints would be great
Thanks
Chris

Hi and welcome.
I did have a rattle on mine that could be heard when revving jusr above idle. I found it was the 3 screws at the front of the air intake which hold it to the strike plate.

The way I found out was to have the bonnet open and a friend blip the accelerator.

It could also be the turbo wastegate opening and closing to control boost level - perfectly normal.
