There is a lil toll road at Bathampton. traveling South on it, having paid the toll and crossed over the bridge you come to a big riverside pub on your right.

Go into the car park to the left and behind the pub. from there, you can walk down to a landing stage on the river itself, they run boat trips into Bath from there..

So, how about a nice riverboat ride with a couple of hours in Bath??

Ellow Ian.. I can't be there.. Too far for a day out at 180 miles each way! lol... But I usually stop there on my way South and have always fancied doing the trip. .

A couple of pics I took on my last trip down....

Th riverboat arriving..

The Toll bridge and weir from the riverside.. The folded white parasols are in the garden at the front of the pub.. Pic taken from the landing stage at the rear..

Thread closed at OPs request. In the absence of a Regional Sec for the South West area, anyone keen to organise a local gathering, please start a new thread, thanks.
