I seem to recall abs problems that have fixed you need to drive the car a few miles to reset things. I know you said the mot has run out but could perhaps book an mot so that you can drive it bit further?

Dodgy wheel bearing, probably rear. Tweak the hub nuts. Solved my problem!

New wheels bearings all round.
Failed MOT today. New genuine sensors on order. Will check wiring at the weekend. Hopefully will get it fixed. |

Evening all.
The car is now with MGRS in High Wycombe as they are the closest garage to me with a T4 and the car is out of MOT. As I understand there are only 2 types of modulator for the petrol versions. 1 type fits cars with traction control, the other fits car without like mine. I bought and fitted https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-SRB101291 as mine does not have traction fitted. I looked to match the part removed as the other type looks to have a noticably larger control module. They informed me today that the T4 inspection shows a reading from all four wheels, I think implying that the sensors and reluctor rings are all ok. The fault that remains is the ABS modulator. Am I right in thinking that the T4 is reading the live data via the ABS modulator ECU? Could this mean that there is potentially a power fault to the modulator valves? Thanks in advance. Ben. |
