Default Rover 75 tourer diesel 2lt not starting

Another posting! Long list of problems overcome, some self inflicted.

Plenum Chamber flooded.
Replacement ECU from God aka MarinaBrian.
Spyhole mod done.

Airbag warning light illuminated following water ingress.
Replacement SRS EWS from Chris75

Lost key (blame the dog)
Replaced by Roverlink

Window locked in up position following being broken (see above)
Replacement Window fitted after uninstall/install of window regulator (plastic slides had slid up too high with no window to stop it).

Car has been misfiring at low revs and tardy to fire up. Smooth once at 2000 revs.
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced PCV filter
Replaced Air filter
Cleaned EGR and intercooler hose.
Replaced Cam sensor.

Just had to get the car MOT so had to have exhaust back box replaced and arms and bushes replaced.

Planned to get the car to Chris75 for a T4 but it broke down last night after my shift. Again, slight misfire on acceleration then smoothed out. Plenty of power.
Just died, battery light and oil light illuminated.

The garage did run a basic diagnostic before the MOT and glow plug relay and fuel pressure were flagged but unfortunately not T4 so not specific.

Car now back at garage and have asked for;
Leakback
low pressure sensor signal
Fuel rail sensor signal
ecu to injectors wiring.

Plenty of fuel coming through filter and under bonnet pump working. 3/4 full tank and under seat pump buzzing.

Having scoured the site I have some thoughts.
Could it be a faulty injector stuck open? How to check?
Could the seal on the HP regulator be faulty? How to check?

I had tried injector cleaner in with the fuel but no change before it stopped.

my big problem is that with no T4 available, I don't want the garage spending many hours at £49 plus vat blindly chasing cats up alleys.

Car has 110,000 on the block and when it works is an absolute pleasure.

Oh yeah, I unplugged the Maf and no discernible difference in tick over

If you are handy with a multimeter French Mike has a good list of checks to help narrow down the fault:

A far better option then letting the garage poke and hope at your expense.
