I did unplug my MAF a while ago to see if there was any difference, on mine it did put on the EML that I had to have cleared at a garage, unplugging mine didn't make any difference, these are just slow cars at low revs.

This can also be a symptom of the EGR not closing correctly if still fitted Stan
Sticking EGR actuators give almost identical symptoms to that of a duff MAF sensor, and unplugging the MAF effectively masks the symptoms as when running in default mode the ECM will not send the PWM signal to the EGR actuator solenoid meaning it will not open I would unplug the electrical connection to the EGR first, to see if the EGR is being reticent to close fully, before condemning the MAF Brian |
