Default CD changer advice

I've posted a thread in the wanted section and had a few replies, the last suggested I'd be more likely to get a better response if I posted it in this section.

I haven't got a CD hooked up to my newly purchased 1.8 Connoisseur and would like to get a 2nd hand changer to fit in the boot.

It appears that this means it should be a Kenwood unit then, if so, what are the model numbers to go for, there are quite a few different ones for sale on Ebay at the moment?

The second question, is there any member within say a couple of hours travelling distance from Braintree Essex who would be kindly willing to fit it for me?

Thanks, Jim

That's really kind of you to do that for me, I'm very grateful.

All I need is to find out what sort of Kenwood changer to get so I can then source one, then I'll PM you to arrange for me to come over.

Default What Kenwood model cd changer fits

I'd like to source a boot mounted cd changer so my '02 reg 1.8 with Harmony stereo can play CDs.

Can someone please confirm what Kenwood cd changer model numbers are suitable please?

Think about upgradeing to Symphony radio with separate cd changer or a single din radio with integrated cd player, put wanted advert online as few members have upgraded to double din units and will have one sitting doing nothing

A Harmony will need a CD changer that is unique to the Harmony and Symphony stereos, although made by Alpine, it was adapted for MGRover to work with them.

There is a thread about adding a CD changer to a Harmony and Symphony on page 3 of the 'How To - ICE & Navigation' forum.
