I've just transferred my circuit board to a new case but only have one key.
If I get one of these with the internals what would I have to do to get it to work?

I've zipped through the thread a bit so might have missed how much they'd be with the internals and what " linking" it to the car would require and cost. Definitely interested in a MG one though.

You don't get any internals, just the case and a blank blade. The "master plan" is you use the internals from your own key. If you want another key (I'd highly recommend a spare) best to see one of the T4 guys who do keys.

Hi Steve, thanks for the link. It is mentioned in the thread that getting them with a circuit board might be possible but don't think it's confirmed anywhere. I was just wondering as a new key isn't cheap!

Even if it came with the internals you'd still need to see one of the T4 key guys. The remote PCB has to be registered in the car's security system using a T4 and an additional piece of equipment is required to register the immobiliser transponder.

Yes, a quick update on when these might be ready would be useful.
Rick, unstandably has his new business to keep him busy, but could he just let us know what progress has been made, or if he wants someone else in the club to take this on.
Over to you Rick.

The last update from Rik was over 4 months ago. It's 8 months since the thread was started. I've resigned myself to this being 'dead in the water'....... Happy to be proved wrong though!

Ric, perhaps an update from yourself would clear up this matter.
Perhaps you could come onto the forum and explain the latest thinking.
Thanks
