Indeed imagine getting worked up over parking spaces?
Although I've heard some even get worked up over parking dings on their car.
Whatever next eh?

If I need to get out of my car in a tight spot, my hand is on the edge of my door so that my hand gets damaged before the car next to me.

Happened to me once at Asda many years ago, a gout got out of his car, hit my door quite hard with his door leaving a dent.

I would the window down and asked I he was going to apologise, to which he replied ‘no’

I waited until he entered the shop, got out of the car and keyed the full length of his car.

Job done I reckon.

Note the use of British Standards number, rather than EN 12600, pendulum testing be damned

A bit of thinking and foresight can do a lot to minimize these problems.
I always park far away from the crowds, and then usually with only one side exposed to another bay. Then I park as close to the unexposed side of the bay as possible, and if necessary, take a picture of the car next to me.
( to be able to find my car again)
Trouble is, it is usually a longer walk to the shop, but then again I get to admire, smirk, feel sick, elated, happy, sad or whatever, by watching the people, cars, animals etc, encountered on my way to the shop.

Makes for good exercise and entertainment, if you approach it in the right spirit.
And the gorgeous lines of a black S R is just tooo precious to let get spoiled by a careless shopper!
