Default FUSE F5 Problem

Hi Guys,Checking out a ZT/T for a friend.Car battery drains overnight.Checked Current drain on Battery and found to be .450m/A.(the car appears to work OK
all functions)Pulling fuses in turn pointed to fuse f5 as the culprit, which I know is a feed to the BCU,but I cannot understand the drainage if things seem to be OK.Any help of course is welcome.NB When fuse f5 is pulled current drainage is an acceptable .045m/A. Regards David

Perhaps the BCU is feeling poorly. Don't know how to check it but someone will be along I am sure with a how to soon. Best of luck.

David,

I don't think that you're reading your multimeter correctly. Have you selected a 10 amp range and the screen says "0.450"? Just to check, you have got the meter probes in series with the battery cable haven't you?

Hi guys, thanks for your comments I guess I know about meters ranges and connectivity(electronic engineer for 50 years(not Auto).lol but thanks, you were not to know..I do have the answer,as I said in the OP,I am looking at a friends ZT/T.the problem turned out to be the windscreen wiper motor connections being gunged up resulting in a partial short ,which would not allow the BCU to shut down in to sleep mode.Accidently found this when doing the Plenums (horrible state, don't know how he got away with it)Car has been stood two days and static volts, are 12.65.so I reckon job done.Regards David:

Nice one David very satisfying to find and fix things like that
I hate to think how much a garage would charge for that
