Some yeast survives the baking process and grows again.

I am a time served Baker Confectioner you see .

Went to food tec college you know .

Put your bread in a carrier bag and pop it in the fridge .

It retards mould growth and the bread stays fresh for a week.

Brown bread even longer.

Have a nice day.

Afternoon, been popping in but not posting for several days. Last Saturday I was delighted to have the beast voted best ZT at the Scottish National; little did I know that in the early hours of Sunday morning I’d be in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with chest pains! They discovered a bad restriction in an artery but (thank God) caught it before it developed into a full blown blockage, stent fitted and a couple of days under observation. Consultant made it clear just how I'd dodged a bullet!

I got home on Tuesday; told to rest, no driving for a week, blood thinning drugs and cholesterol reducing medications. Few lifestyle changes, smoking is out, healthy eating is in. Being told to rest is fine but it doesn’t half get boring!

My postings might be a bit patchy for a while, believe me this has thrown me a wobbly to say the least.

I hope you're soon on the way to a full recovery Steve. Thank heavens the symptoms were spotted soon.

gonna say something you might not want to hear Steve but you MUST stop smoking mate .

Easy for me to say i know as i dont smoke but seriously Steve when i meet up with you you chain smoke .

Its killing you and if you want to be around you have to kick this mate .

Its a warning and ignoring the warning will go against you .

I watched my parents smoke themselves to death Steve.

I say this as a mate ..

Stay safe Steve .

Glad to read you are on the road to recovery Steve, take care and try to pack up the fags.

Don't worry about the fags, what happened really shook me up and I have no real inclination to smoke. I was given a nicotine inhaler, hardly used that.

I was a bit iffy for MG Northumbria anyway Rich, wife's friend going in for an operation but after what happened nope, definitely won't be there.
