Default Which bulbs?

First I must apologise for asking, sorry. I've been told before, written it down and am now confused.

Which bulbs for main and dipped beam for projector head lights on a facelift?

Handbook says
Headlight dipped beam H7
Headlight main beam for cars with halogen dipped beam headlights H1
Headlight main beam for cars with halogen projector blue version or xenon dipped beam head lights H9

writing the post it seems clear, I think I need H7 and H1 but what is halogen projector blue version ?

Am I right, H1 and 7?

9?? really? Now I'm more confused.
9 just does not match handbook description.
I feel I'm arguing with you suzublu but I'm not, I'm confused

mind you the handbook does not tell you what bulbs are in the fog

I think the handbook relates to halogen reflectors Ian which are H7 dipped, H1 main. Projectors, which facelifts have, are H9 main beam.
Fogs are either H1 or H11

I just ordered and received dipped and main beam bulbs from powerbulbs.com. I had done a lot of research on here, and knew it was H7 for the dipped lights, and probably H9 for mains...but the powerbulbs web site led me to order H1 main bulbs, as that is what their "find bulbs to fit my car..." comparator said.

But of course, having driven 50 miles to Tayport for Chris to fit them (changing headlight bulbs without whipping off the bumper and taking out the lights is for long, snake-armed individual contortionists only..), they were the wrong ones - of course, I needed H9 bulbs! Grrr!

I emailed powerbulbs.com and told them their information was wrong. They blamed Osram, who apparently supply them with their fitment information. Curious that they only have one legal type of H9 halogens for sale - PIAA ones at £33! They still have not changed the site information.

So - don't be fooled like me!

That's 'Blue Vision', which is MGR speak for the blue tinted glass H7 bulb they recommended for Halogen type projector lamps.

Am I right, H1 and 7?
Mk1 non-projector models use H7 55watt bulbs in the dips and H1 55watt in the mains.
Mk2 non-HID models use H7 55watt bulbs in the dips and H9 65watt in the mains.
Mk1 with non-HID projectors use H9 65watt bubs in the mains.
Mk1 and Mk2 models with HID projectors use H9 65watt bulbs in the mains.

So whenever there's projectors, there's H9 65watt in the main beam.
