1.8t stuttering at low revs
Cars been fine, went home for lunch, car was ok. Driving back to work it seemed stuttery at low revs, like it was mis-firing. But not doing it all the time.
Engine management light flashes for about 10 seconds and then goes off. Once it gets over it's stuttering it pulls like a train. I had a similar problem when I first bought the car where the turbo was cutting out for a split second on accelerating. I replaced the boost solenoid and that seemed to cure the problem. I still have some new pipes to fit to the boost solenoid, not got around to doing it yet, maybe that that cure the problem? Strange how it's only really started doing it today. Any suggestions? |

What did you gap your spark plugs to? NA engined cars run at 1.1mm but the turbos don't seem to like that gap as much, I read 0.8mm is what it should be.

Don't overlook issues like the inlet gasket and FFS.

I didn't alter the gap. But is it possible for it to be ok sometimes and not others? Surely if the gap was the issue it would happen all the time?

Did the problems begin after you changed the plugs at the weekend?
