Unhappy Cruise control problem - help

Hi,

Just got a new R75 yesterday. But having real problems with Cruise control.

I've read the manual, tried everything but I can't get it working

I pressed the centre console button. Got to speed. Flicked Set+ towards me and nothing. No light on the dash or anything.

I did get it to work for 5 mins yesterday, but not at all today.

What could be causing the problem? Anyone suffered this before?

Very very common, have a feel up above the clutch pedal, you will feel a square bock with wires on it, give it a push into place should locate with a firm click.

I have tried to take a photo many times but they never come out clearly

A good way to check is whist driving along lift the clutch pedal with your toe and press + if it works the pedal swith needs locating properly.

Hope this helps

Easiest way is to push and poke everything high up around top of the clutch pedal. You will hear the click if you are successful.

Unhappy

No joy. Seems like there are 2 or 3 wires in the top of the switch. Pushed the switch as far towards me as possible.

Tried lifting the clutch pedel while driving, hear some clicks are the switch was forced backwards, but still no joy.

I reckon the switch is broken. I think this because there is nothing on the front face of the switch. Is it just white and doesn't seem to have an type of "switch" on the front of it. I would have thought it should do, unless there is some kind of sensor inside of it?

What should be on the front of the switch? Can it be removed easliy? any idea on where and how much I could get a replacement switch and are they easy to fit?

Any thoughts would be appriciated.

Think there should be a switch on the brake pedal as well.

You might want to check that while you are in the area.

Cruise disengages when either clutch or brake pedal is pressed.

I had the same problem when i brought my R75

There are 2 switches one above the clutch pedal and one above the brake pedal you have to look really hard has they are both high up

i don't thing the clutch one is a switch i am sure it a contact switch so when the metal part of the clutch pedal touches it forms a curciut ,Mine was nearly coming out of the bracket that holds it so make sure you push it home. also i thing the cuirse control does not come on till you go above 35 - 40 MPH
