Default And Another Thing....

Drivers seat bolster looks very tatty. Doesn't seem to have been treated with leather cream.

Also re the claims regarding it being the last one of this model:
1) From the VIN about 10,000 cars were made after this one. Did they discontinue ZT V6 autos early?
2) According to this, no records of the numbers of the ZT models made were available. Has that changed?

I'm with Clembo. It looks like you get a lot of baloney as well as the good spec,

Where's Duotone?

Its a nice ZT but the info about MG Rover and the production line is not so good.

This ZT is vin. 345151. The last known ZT is vin.354536.

The last known ZT 180 sports auto 355192 in Black Pearl.

This means that 10043 75's and ZT's left the production line after this ZT.

As the 75 and ZT were produced on the same production line it means that this ZT was produced before 2005.

Production for 2005

5439 Rover 75
1870 MG ZT.

Also the fraud squad didn't get called into the MG Rover debacle until much later [after administration] and the last day of production at Longbridge was the 11th April 2005.

Also this ZT would have been sold by JCT600 Wakefield not Leeds.

A small point but as with many other so-called facts in the blurb, incorrect.

if mine was one of the last 1600 according to the vin so mine must be worth a fortune!!!!! hahahaha

Looks a nice car, although I've never really seen the point of an MG automatic.

I'm certain of one thing. The "ultra rare pearl grey dash" looks suspiciously like my Contemporary's "black oak" plastic.

I can think of several points of an auto MG. What if someone is unable to drive a car with a manual transmission? What if that someone has been born with a congenital disorder, has suffered an accident of some description, develops arthritis or has been wounded whilst in the armed forces?

My real MG is an increasingly rare automatic, I bought it from a young man who was wheel chair bound. He was not able to drive a manual.

I am increasingly suffering with an arthritic hip and may, very reluctantly, have to part with my manual ZT. An MG 180 Sports Auto is the only car I would replace it with.

This seems like a lot of bloat ware, even with the history, which tbh is not really worth much considering apparently it's for it's about 1k over priced IMO, hope it doesn't sell till it hits a reasonable price

Oh and thank you very much,I have that dash fitted in my car as standard and looks superb, slightly rare.

The autobox on these cars is very adaptive,it learns your driving style and attempts to adapt.

The 180 Sport is no slouch,as a passenger entering a Motorway at 50MPH and full kickdown was experienced..It flew and left me well surprised

Just wonder if my 190 could have kept the pace.

Traction control on a facelift? Thought only facelift V8's had it, and no others could? Monogram option perhaps?

The rear pipes don't look quite right.

Traction control was avaiable as an option on all models right through production on both the 75 and the ZT except the 1.8 and 1.8T.

It was only standard on the Rover 75 V8.

Only one key, I bet the other one was stolen by one of the pheonicks four whilst they stole £42 million from the company.

Why didn't they go to prison?
