I was speaking to Russ yesterday (before my rubbish phone signal died) regarding this, changing the engine harness isn’t a bad job to do, just be careful when removing the connectors as some will have been exposed to the heat of the engine and may be brittle.

Hopefully that will sort the issue, I did think a sticky injector until Russ told me you had changed them!

Paul.
These are compression ignition engines , and being common rail the injection pressures are very high, so unless it is extremely cold - well into the minus figures, they will happily start without glowplugs. Once started they have no effect other than emission control when everything is cold, so can't cause any misfiring.

It won't be a cam sensor fault either, as the ECM only references the cam position at start up, and then ignores it until the next time the engine is started.

As you appeared to have no joy on the electrical and fuelling side, could it be something mechanical, as in the drive train somewhere making it feel like a judder? What's it like at idle?

I would have suggested a fault crank sensor, or maybe a faulty HP fuel pressure regulator, but as Big Russ has had it on his T4 either one should have flagged up.

Could these symptoms be the result of a DMF issue ?

Have you checked your air filter??

I would hook up to torque, take some live data and compare with standard readings to try to identify what is happening when you get the judder.
