NCT is a southern irish MOT. They can be more intense in places compared to the NI MOT, but generally both the NI MOT and NCT are more stringent than the mainland MOTs.

When it comes to issues like rust and rot they are extremely fussy here as its done in a dedicated government owned centre not at local mechanic.

No doubt when the mot is back up and running again they will be targeting cars for obvious failures.

Got busy when I had an hour spare between studying today.

And then my 3m head light kit arrived from amazon, so I got bust with a set of projectors I have (which arnt great but will do for now).

And then I raced against the rain to fit them.

Very happy with end result along with black grill. Swan neck towbar next and she's sorted.

Lovely looking cars you have there.

The colour really suits the shape/lines of the car.

I'm lucky enough to own two saloons in Arran White (NNX). a 1999 (T) 2.5 Conn SE & a 1999 (V) 1.8 Club (now SE spec).

Oh yes & the 3M headlight kits are brilliant, I use them all the time.

Well it's nearly there.

Swan neck towbar. Don't plan to really tow with it, but handy to have as an "Irish parking sensor" none the less.

Following these projects with interest. Well done Colin, the cars are a credit to you. If I had somewhere to keep'it and the time to restore it,I would have kept my ppd diesel tourer auto.

For what is my basic daily driver, I do get a lot of messages about, especially on this forum with people asking me to sell it to them when the time comes. And whilst I update my social media it rarely gets a picture unless it's getting a big clean or a service etc.

And the one I get most is why drive an absolute base spec Rover 75 as a daily driver? Why not buy a much higher spec car instead. Well in this video I go over it, why it suits my life for now, and we even go for a drive in it!

Video goes live at 0800 Monday 4th of October, 4k quality is available 24 to 72 hours after upload due to YouTube's strange processing!
