Spent the afternoon polishing headlights, they were really really bad! Lenses removed as the insides had collected some muck too.
Found the remnants of a couple of broken led bulbs (Dead easy to remove with the lenses off) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice and shiny for now Scott. The drop linkshave reallygone with there boots split. Mine had done around 105,000 miles but the boots were ok. Hope you have more luck with the B+B ones than I had with the rubbish Delphi I bought.

Changed the originals on the tourer at 15 yrs and 175,000 , the lemforders lasted 3 yrs and 27,000. I think they're now to be considered as consumable parts like tyres and brake pads. The ZT only does 3000 a year so I'm hoping they last a fair bit. The B&B s were £10.00 each so no great loss if they do fail. And it'll be covered in dust by next weekend |

She needs a total respray....some rusting on the door and boot..... Also found out that the garage that did the Clutch and save cylinder never put the undertray back on...so now I am missing the undertray... waiting on a headlight cleaning kit...…. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Also waiting for some number plate tape to put on the new Number Plates I got from...M17TT aka Matt

Just done Artics (Steve) mod of a screw in the top corner of the door cards, just the two offside doors, to stop them keep jumping out of the top fixings just below the window. Cheers Steve.

Took the Bear to buy essential meat from the butchers. Not put any petrol in for nearly 4 weeks. Not bad for a V8.

As I didn't have any painting to do (giving the new rear arms a couple of days to cure before I flip them over and do the top side), I changed the lower engine mount.
A nice quick job that would have been even quicker if I had an impact gun - maybe something to look at in the future. Then fired it up, was pleasantly surprised at how readily it went and how minor the misfiring was, let it warm up fully then moved it up and down the drive. |

Started investigating the old occasional pulsating brake pedal at slow speeds fault only to spot a broken front spring. So that will be tomorrow's job then.

Washed him. It's incredible the amount of dust and sandy deposits land on our cars.
Hate to see him dusty, and the paintwork rough to a very gentle touch. It's just got to be removed. |
