Default Diesel woes..update!!!

Hi all, just a quick update on my zt 115 oil burner.. having changed the in tank pump recently with limited success a 10 second run then stop and back to where i started from with 2 dead fuel pumps.

Well i dropped brian a message on here and he kindly offered his services which involved him looking at my ECU for possible water damage etc..

Whilst i was removing the ECU i noticed the far right connection block the one with 3-4 brown wires didnt look fully pushed home so gave it a good push, didnt move much.. reconnected battery and turned key to hear both pumps whirl into action.. left her running for a while turned off and on again about half a dozen times and she looks like by just pushing that block fully home it seems to have cured the old girl?..

not sure if this sounds right to anybody? come across this before?..

thanks for everybodys help on here on some of the possible symptoms, ive tried most of them with my limited skills and tools, and enjoyed getting her running again.. for how long though only time will tell.

Great to hear you are sorted. Loose connections stop cars it's true.

That plug is the injector loom

It won't stop the fuel pumps running, but it would stop the car from starting if not plugged it

Hi brian... umm not sure what was making the pumps dead, i did however give all of the connectors a further push, im thinking with me taking the ECU out to rod the drain it has dislodged the connections?.... the drain hole mod is now my next job... thanks again for your advice and uptake of ECU fix, hopefully i wont need to send it to you.
