Default KV6 Crankshaft Pulley LHG000070 - the saga of ridiculous pricing seems to be over!

Hello all,
First of all, I appreciate this has taken longer than we'd anticipated originally - however a couple of years ago I did vow to try and bring the price of these down to a reasonable level in this thread:
https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=79723

We've finally had a breakthrough with one of our suppliers - we've got the price down from the £300+ it hit a few years back down to a remarkable £44.99.

These are parts direct from the OE supplier to SAIC MG, so are the real deal - and finally at a price that's a lot more palatable to most owners.

Sorry for the thread creation, but I know it's been a part which has been asked for countless times due to the rather silly previous pricing.

More info and ordering: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/kv6...45-75-mg-zs-zt

I have a diesel myself, but I'm happy to see prices for parts reduced for our owners of cars with that engine. About time too.

Dumb question perhaps but why do these need replacing? Do the originals wear out or split? Never had to consider mine and, with just 66k on the clock, hope I never will.

It seems to only be high mileage examples, so you should be fine.
Mainly breakdown of the rubber damper in the middle of the pulley

Just keep the revs down a bit to make the rubber last a bit longer.---

That's another way...

These seem to be flying off the shelves, 13 left in stock but more due in May / June.

Just out of curiosity - what are the symptoms of a worn crank pulley?

With these, it seems to be the central rubber part breaking down leading to the outer part of the pulley running out-of-true - but failure is luckily pretty rare.
