I walk 1.7 mile in the morning, and 2.5 mile in the afternoon with Georgie

Come rain or shine we are always there.

And I am still Obese, well that's what the Big Fat Nurse at the surgery say

Good morning Phil, Thank you , My brother & myself build that fireplace 30 years ago when we bought the house.

Yeah I used to be treated like Wesley out of 'last of the Summer wine' where she laid newspaper down for him to walk on.

Nah! I don't do any walking except to get in the car these days, I used to play golf & enjoyed the walk with the golf trolley until my back decided we weren't going to do that anymore.

The railway station is two minutes walk from our house & thats about as much as I do.

Today's walk for our group is 7 miles from Barnton to S. Queensferry though the Dalmeny Estate along the coastline of the River Forth. Weather mild and sunny but tide will be high so little chance of serious bird watching.

We have our heating on timer, wait for it Rod

I switched it off this morning its so warm
I was hoping to delay use of the heating until December this year, but we've had a couple of cold nights/days of late, and with a cold weekend forecast for this area, that intention has gone by the board. The difference is that I leave the timer OFF (don't want the system making its own decisions do I) and switch it on manually when the icicles are forming on the top lip

Ah - that pleasure (the shopping, not Carol) awaits me tomorrow

I don't walk every day, as it is all based around my son's and daughter-in-law's shift patterns. When I do hike up and down to look after the grandkids and take them to school, it's a mile and a half to their house, plus another half mile to school (all downhill). The homeward walk is a couple of miles - all uphill - and I must admit that does make me sweat

Hope it is just the meds Derek, side effects can do some strange things. My problem is with the statins, can't find one I can take without having serious side effects in the form of aches and joint stiffness. Doc wanted to to try another statin (would be the fifth!) but I'm tired of being a drugs testbed. I take my current one until the side effects get the better of me then have a break.

Morning Derek - it's good to hear from you again, but not so good to hear of your problems. As Steve has said. regular medication can have all sorts of side effects - both he and I have suffered as a result of statins. Let's hope that the problem is this, and that a change in the medication will help.

Best wishes to you and Lilian - from us up 'ere in Yorkshire

I'll be going to the Aqua kinetics doggy place in Bolton shortly with my sister & her mutt so I'm getting the dash cam out.

I bought a duel USB 12 volt charger from that Bang good site (the missus says that name sounds like a porn site ) for my smartphone (my phone didn't come with a car charger), It has an intelligent chip and can charge multiple different devices that have different currents. It shows your car battery voltage & different currents going into whatever you've got plugged into it and all for £3.09 delivered

How do they do it!
