As an ex employee of Jag and LR, i think this could be a good move. Ford certainly helped them in many ways but also brought some very poor decision making and huge amounts of red tape which hamstrung their ability to do a lot of the things they wanted to do.
If (IF) Tata leave them well alone (they have been told "just deliver the business plan") then this could be great for my friends back there. Perhaps we should give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them some room to show their mettle? So much better than a private equity firm, whatever ends up happening
